Incredible Crisis

Incredible Crisis is one game that actually made it to the west, its about a family having some crazy day tryin to get to the grandmothers birthday party, you get to control each member of the family during the game each playing a series of mini games, they are not too challenging but funny haha and perculior, Its mostly timed button presses or in sequences. The ones i liked were the gigantic teddy bear acting like godzilla and hot footing it from the Bank robbery whilst trying to avoid being shot and killed. The game is just fun and the antics which unfold will have you coming back just to see whats gonna happen next.

Choaniki

Now this is one of the most Blatant bizarre games i have ever come across! It is available on a few platforms, including Sega Saturn, snes and the Playstation 2, its a well designed side scrolling shootem up and whilst playing the game you come across weird characters and levels. This game is full of scantily clad muscle men, who wear very small tight fitting pants, its very much a hommage to body building. The backgrounds are creative but very strange including a large mantrain, a forest full of male fairies and a male statue of liberty, and to top it off they sing classic opera!

Magical Date

Magical date is a another crazy game where you have to pick a girl to date, you then start off like your in a board game, each square leads to different mini games. If successful in your quest you move along the board, and at junction points you are asked a series of questions about your date, you have to try and pick the correct answer otherwise she gets upset. The mini games are fun and easy to play, if you get far enough to the marriage stage you have to throw the bouquet in a javelin style at the crowd. This game was also in the arcades called Magical date ex, if you have MAME arcade emulator you can try it out!

Gourmet Action Game: Manpuku!! Nabe Kazoku

I bought this game today but not sure whats going on, it has lots of jap text and everytime the character eats the food i make her, her face looks like she's choking, i'll have to spend more time figuring out what to do and get my Japanese to English dictionary. I will post a mini review once i get the hang of this game.

Madcatz Retrocon

I bought this pad a few days ago for my Playstation and Playstation 2 from Ebay for £2.44, what a bargain! it feels like the old NES pads but slighty more ergonomic, The buttons and D pad light up once attached to the console, looks very nice in the dark, the colours are bright and flourescent looking. The pad handles well although i haven't played a driving game yet, the analog sticks are small they fit my thumbs better than the standard pads

Harmful Park

Harmful Park from Sky Think System. If you see this game cheap buy it, This game really should have had a worlwide release, It's a side scrolling shoot em up, with extremely cute graphics, its so colourful and vibrant with many things happening on screen, also plays amazing well. A lot of time, effort and love has gone into making this a masterpiece. It's a joy just watching someone play, like the end of level 2, a church wedding has started, then a man bursts in and the bride rush and kisses him which leaves the groom in tears "the graduate"! Now you have to destroy the love hearts from the kissing couple and avoid the tears from the crying groom.

Gekibo "Photoboy"

This game is short but really funny, you have to take photos of anything weird happening on the screen. and you receive extra film or extra features for your camera. Strange goings on is the order of the day, from a moonwalking michael jackson to The terminator. As you progress in the game you can see why this wasn't released outside of Japan, there are many ethnic stereotypes and controversial acts you have to take photos of.

Ore No Ryouri

This has to be one of my favourite games at the moment, it translates from Japanese to 'My Cooking'. You have to work your way up in the fast food industry, Its such a fun game but it is very paticular on the tasks, they have to be carried out with the utmost skill, Apart from making the food you have maintenance tasks like swating cockroaches with a shoe and chasing customers who haven't paid down the alley. The old woman in the first stage has a weird cockney accent "be right there!"
